Silicon-manganese Alloy

Introduction to Silicon Manganese Silicon manganese alloy is an alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron, and a small amount of carbon and other elements. It is a widely used and high-yield ferroalloy. Silicon manganese alloy is a commonly used composite deoxidizer in steelmaking, and also a reducing agent for low-carbon manganese iron and electro silicothermic production of metallic manganese in production. Specification and particle size: natural lump, 10-100mm, powder or customised according to customers' requirements. Packing: one metric tonne in a big bag, or according to customer's requirement

Product Details

Silicon-manganese alloy is a blocky grayish-brown alloy composed of manganese, silicon, iron, and a small amount of carbon and other elements. According to the current GB standard, it is classified into 8 grades based on the different contents of manganese and silicon. It is smelted in a submerged arc furnace, using raw materials such as manganese ore, silica, and coke. In the furnace, electrical energy is converted into thermal energy, which is then produced through a reduction reaction. It has a wide range of uses and is a commonly used alloy additive, composite deoxidizer and desulfurizer in steelmaking. It is also a reducing agent in the production of medium and low-carbon ferromanganese and metallic manganese. Packaging and transportation comply with the GB3650-83 standard and can be carried out in various ways such as bulk packaging and bagged packaging.
