Product Details

Lead(II) Carbonate Basic#1319-46-6

Lead (II) carbonate basic: White heavy powder, hexagonal crystal system, insoluble in water and ethanol, soluble in strong acids such as acetic acid and nitric acid. It is stable at normal temperature and pressure, but when heated to 220℃ (for 4 hours), 9% of the carbon dioxide decomposes, and 95% of it turns into \(PbCO_{3}\cdot PbO\). It decomposes into lead oxide and releases carbon dioxide at 400℃. When in contact with hydrogen sulfide, it gradually turns black and forms \(4PbCO_{3}\cdot PbS\cdot Pb(OH)_{2}\).
